User Session

What are User Session Settings in Salesforce?

User Session Settings in Salesforce are settings that determine what happens during a user's login and their work session. These settings play a crucial role in controlling the security and user experience of your Salesforce organization.

Components of User Session Settings in Salesforce:
  1. Session Timeout: This setting decides how long a user's session will automatically end after a period of inactivity.
  2. Lock Sessions to the IP Address from Which They Originated: This option restricts a user's session to the IP address from where they logged in.
  3. Require Secure Connections (HTTPS): This setting ensures that users can only connect to Salesforce using secure (HTTPS) connections.
