Create an Object in Salesforce

What is an Object in Salesforce?

In Salesforce, an "Object" is a database table that stores data in an organized manner. In simple terms, it's a container for a specific type of information.

Types of Objects

Standard Objects: These are objects provided by Salesforce, such as Account, Contact, Opportunity, and Lead.

Custom Objects: These are objects created by users to fit their specific business needs.

How to Create an Object

  1. In Setup, go to Object Manager.
  2. Click Create > Custom Object and fill in the required details.
  3. Customize Fields and Layouts, then click Save.
  4. Create a Custom Tab for the object to make it accessible in the UI.
  5. Launch the application to check your new object and tab.
