Creating & Editing Dashboards

How to Create and Edit a Dashboard in Salesforce:

A Dashboard in Salesforce is a visual display of key metrics and trends for records in your org. It allows you to visualize data from multiple reports on a single page, giving you a high-level view of your business.

To Create a Dashboard:
  1. Go to the "Dashboards" tab and click "New Dashboard."
  2. Give your dashboard a name and a short description, then choose a folder to save it in. Click "Create."
  3. In the dashboard editor, you can add "Components." Click "+ Component" to add one.
  4. Select a source report for your component, then choose a display type (like a bar chart, pie chart, gauge, or table).
  5. Customize the component's settings, then click "Add." You can add multiple components to your dashboard.
  6. Once you have arranged your components, click "Save."

To Edit a Dashboard:
  1. Open the dashboard you want to modify and click the "Edit" button in the top right corner.
  2. You can drag components to rearrange them, resize them, or click the pencil icon on a component to edit its properties.
  3. To add a new component, click the "+ Component" button.
  4. After making your changes, click "Save."
