  • Right to Information Rules in Rajasthan were made in 2007.

– By Governor on the recommendation of a committee.

  • Cabinet Minister nominated by Chief Minister

  • NOTE - Currently Cabinet Minister - Jogaram Patel is the nominated member.

# Oath 

– By Governor or person nominated by Governor.

# Tenure / Salary / Allowances

- Determined by Central Government via Amendment of 2019.

  • Current Tenure - 3/65 years (By Right to Information Amendment Act 2019).

  • Current Salary Allowances - (Determined by Central Government via 2019 Amendment)

    • Chief Information Commissioner - Equal to Chief Justice of High Court.

    • State Information Commissioner - Equal to Judge of High Court.

# Resignation -

 To the Governor.

# Removal

(1) In case of Misbehavior and Incapacity - By Governor after inquiry by Supreme Court.

(2) Insolvency, Office of Profit, Mental Infirmity, Convicted - By Governor.

  • NOTE - There are provisions for Suspension by Governor during inquiry by Supreme Court.

  • As per the law, any order passed by the commission cannot be challenged in any court.
  • However, Supreme Court and High Court have original juridiction therefore the orders of the commission are Frequently challenged in SC & HC.
