A touch screen is an interface that works to read the user's touch and convert it into a digital signal. It is mainly based on three types of technologies:

  • Resistive Touch Screen - It has two thin layers, between which there is an electric current at a small interval. When pressure is applied to the screen, these layers come into contact with each other and send instructions.
  • Capacitive Touch Screen - This technology uses electric current. When the screen is touched with a finger or a sensitive object, there is a change in the electric current, which the sensor reads.
  • Infrared Touch Screen - It uses infrared light. When the screen is touched, the pattern of light changes and the device recognizes it and responds.
