What is Tally

Tally Notes

Tally is an accounting software, which is commonly used in business to calculate the company's financial payments.

Tally is used to manage the stock of goods in a company; information related to expenses incurred on goods and products is saved within Tally.

In Tally, accounting is of two types:

1. Computerized

2. Manual

In Tally, there are two types of software:

1. Educational software

2. Licensed software

1. Educational software: You can use Tally ERP 9 in educational mode without a license, where you can input data only on the first, second, and last day of the month.

2. Licensed software: TallyPrime is the software used, which we cannot work with without a license. Start TallyPrime. The startup screen appears as shown below. Press A (Activate New License) on the startup screen. Alternatively, press F1 (Help) > Settings > License > Manage License > F6 (Activate).
