Starting Tally

To start Tally, click on Start > All Programs > Tally 9.0, or you can also start Tally by double-clicking on the Tally icon on the desktop.

Accounting in Tally is a very simple task; follow the steps. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Create a Company

2. Create Ledgers

3. Create Groups if necessary

4. Create Units of Measure

5. Create Stock Groups

6. Create Stock Items

7. Make Voucher Entries for all transactions

All other tasks like Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Trading Account, Trial Balance, Stock Summary, Outstanding, etc., are automatically created by Tally.

When you double-click the Tally icon on the desktop, the first screen you will get is the Company Info screen.

On this screen, we get options like Select, Create, Backup, Restore, Quit.
